Kupres and Kupres field

Kupres area is sourrounded by mountains on each side 

On North East there is Mosor (1371 m), Stražbenica (Vučkovac1504 m), Velika Plazenica (Demirovac 1766 m), Mala Vrata, Mala Plazenica (1556 m), Kupreška or Velika Vrata (1384 m) and mountain Stožer (1758 m); on SouthEast Lupoglava (1448 m), Crni Vrh (1506 m), Osoje (1439 m), Javorni Vrh (1468 m); on South and South West Batoglav (1272 m), Kozja Glava (1482 m), Malovan (1828 m), Jaram (1662 m) i Kurljaj (1593 m); on the West and NorthWest  Krvajac (1662 m) i Mali Vitorog (1748 m).

These mountains are connected with few less importent mountains. They are all mostly covered with forest and meadows that provide excellent food for live stock.

Climate of this are is largely defined by above the sea level of   1120 to 1150 m. Average temperature per year is  5.7° C. There is 141 day of downfalls a year  55 snow related. Because of the strong mountain winds there is a big cold and snowstorms are common.
